Needless
to say, you're doing something right when Bo
Diddley
personally endorses your band. Vini And The Demons do plenty right
on its self-titled release, a mixture of tunes written by the band
and a handful of blues standards. To tell the truth though, most
of the group's own material could pass for standards, never
straying far from the time-tested formula. Blues purists will no
doubt appreciate the soul and feeling Vini And The Demons puts
into songs like "Sittin On Top Of The World," a gritty tune lead
by the superb harmonica playing of Skibo Demon, and the rollicking
"You Go Your Way."
